Photographs on a Web SiteThe photographs show on web sites are scanned in at much lower resolution than is customary when digitizing photographs for printing. The image resolution is matched to the typical color monitor and the smaller resulting files take less time to download to your computer. Digitized photographs are available at higher resolution on a custom basis. Use the CONTACT button to to reach us and obtain further information on obtaining electronics copies of these images. |

Is Your Monitor Set Up Correctly? The transformation of a digital image to the image seen on your computer is affected by a number of parameters which are outside the control of the photograper or web designer. Most importantly your computer monitor may need adjustment to render image quality and color fidelity correctly. The adjustment of Contrast, Brightness and Color Temperature (typically 5500/6500/9300K) all need to be optimized to view a photographic image correctly. We recommend that you visit one of the web sites that provides information and help on monitor calibration. Rather than give you links to some of these sites that are often broken or off-line, we recommend that you visit one of the more popular search engines such as Google and do a search on the following or similar keywords - 'color monitor adjustment calibration'. There are sites dedicated to the different flavors of operating systems. |
